Knoflook
Garlic in the morning you say?
I’m not sure if that sounds like breakfast. It might not sound like lunch or dinner either? That’s ok. I am not talking about eating garlic for a meal joksters. I am talking about incorporating it into your diet regularly. RAW garlic is a very potent medicine when used properly. Keep in mind that when well cooked it will lose some of it’s potency. Sometimes that is good. Sometimes, not so much. Let’s take a quick look at what GARLIC does in the body.
ANTI-BUG/PARASITE: The critters really don’t like this stuff. Is it mildly toxic? Maybe so. Maybe not. People have been using it for thousands of years to ward off infections. There is a reason that vampires don’t like it, remember? =)
DETOX/HEAVY METALS: Garlic has a good amount of selenium and sulfur. Your liver uses these as part of it’s detoxification system. This stuff may help chelate metals from your body as well. Combined with cilantro, it has very powerful actions in the body.
BIOFILM/INTESTINES: Most of us have accumulated sludge on the insides of our stomachs and intestines. (appealing right?) Where does this come from? Years of sedentary living and bad eating choices. The worst offenders are the sticky stuff. The bread, gluten, pasteurized dairy products (especially cheese), processed foods and grains, fried fats, etc. Improperly digested protein is a bad thing as well. Garlic is one of those things that can help burn through this sludge and restore homeostasis. If you don’t believe me, eat a bulb of raw garlic by itself on an empty stomach =)
BLOOD: Garlic is going to clean everywhere it goes. This includes the bloodstream. Very cool stuff.
AMAZED? You should be. In my opinion, garlic is one of the most potent and useful herbs you can consume. So how do we increase our intake? There are several ways. Adding fresh garlic to vegetable or meat meals is one way. Blending it up after juicing some vegetables is especially potent. (stay tuned for my “vampire killer recipe”) Creating a pesto with cilantro, garlic, some olive oil, and sea salt, is a great salad dressing. Use your imagination. This lies at the top of my list of preventative herbs for health. So let’s get our garlic on guys and girls.
